ABOUT SUE COWEN
Voice, Speech & Communication Specialist
Sue Cowen is a highly experienced Voice, Speech and Communication Specialist who has worked internationally at the highest level with a broad spectrum of clients.
Sue is a skilful diagnostician. Her enthusiasm for her art is clear and infectious. Sue is both an artist informed by her scientific training and a scientist who works creatively to meet the needs of each individual with whom she works.
Sue has taught many well-established actors and singers from around the world and has also worked with a wide range of clients across the career spectrum: leaders and those who wish to be, broadcasters, judges, barristers, health care professionals, children and young adults.
Sue has the ability to put people at their ease and enable them to connect with their strengths. Sue is passionate about finding what it is that will enable those with whom she works to flourish and reach their full potential.
Having specialised in the field of Voice early in her career as a Speech and Language Therapist, Sue studied for the Advanced Diploma in Voice Studies at Central School of Speech and Drama, graduating with Distinction, following which she took up the post of Voice and Speech teacher at Central. She also taught at Guildhall, Drama Centre, LAMDA and then for many years at RADA, where she was Senior Voice Tutor, also teaching Speech and Text on the main Acting Course, the MA and many of the short courses in London and the USA.
